Surfing The Nations – our name says it all.
Read on to see why we go to the nations, which nations we’re going to next – and how you can get involved!
We go out to the nations not only with the purpose of experiencing surf in different countries, but to truly bring the heart of surfing to their cultures as well. By simply using this sport, we are able to break down cultural barriers, build relationships, and be a catalyst for change; through all of this, we have been able to open doors which allow us to meet needs all around the world.
Aren’t a surfer? Don’t worry! These trips aren’t exclusive to those who can surf; going international with STN includes many other activities! From soccer tournaments to service projects, there are various ways outside of the water that we connect with each community.
Annually, Surfing The Nations hosts 5 different international trips: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, and the Middle East!
Feeling the urge to catch the next flight out? We are currently accepting applications for Sri Lanka and the Philippines – and YOU have the opportunity to travel internationally with Surfing The Nations!
On the Sri Lanka trip, you will get to experience the daily life and culture of the community of Arugam Bay from our beautiful base just down the street from a Class A surf break, “Main Point.” From spearfishing with locals, to teaching in elementary schools, Arugam Bay is the perfect place to host the world traveler who wants to give back! Be a part of our dream to establish a Surfing The Nations International Surf Base that will permanently serve the youth there and host traveling surfers. (Trip dates: August 5-29. Click here to apply!)
Want to stay in the Pacific Ocean? Come with us to the beautiful Philippines this fall! The abundant white sandy beaches and turquoise crystal-clear waters are breathtaking, and exploring the caves and waterfalls are activities you won’t want to miss! Volunteer at orphanages and hang out with street kids, while using music, community development projects, and surfing to connect with and serve the people of the Philippines. (Trip dates: September 30 – October 24. Click here to apply!)
