Ulu Pono Kids

“To Thrive on a Righteous Path”
Ulu Pono is a Hawaiian phrase that can be translated as “To Thrive on a Righteous Path”, and also the name of our after-school children’s program. We’re passionate about seeing the keiki (kids) of Hawaii reach their full potential and create a fun environment where learning, doing homework and growing in character are encouraged. Kids who are part of Ulu Pono are most often from our immediate neighborhood and through this program get the rare opportunity to experience free homework help, art lessons by skilled artists from around the island, dance classes that connect them to polynesian culture and character development from consistent, loving staff members. Our semesters end with an STN Art Show where the children can showcase all that they have learned in a community celebration. We believe in the next generation of Wahiawa believe that in affirming their worth, value, and talent they will rise up and thrive on a righteous path to be leaders for the island.
