Thank you, Whole Foods!
We can feel the excitement increasing for the Community Outreach Training Center, and the anticipation builds with each donation that comes in! We want to thank all of you who have financially partnered with us for the construction of the COTC; we still have a long way to go, but we couldn’t have gotten this far without your help.
This week we would love to give a special shout out to one of our supporters: Whole Foods in Kahala! Whole Foods has been extremely generous to us and has played a huge part in helping this building progress. But what a lot of you probably don’t know is that their generosity towards Surfing The Nations didn’t start with the COTC! It started in 2012 when Whole Foods first started giving our organization food. Over the past few years, Whole Foods in Kahala has provided STN staff with food donations every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Last year alone they provided us with over $12,340 of food.
Whole Foods’ involvement with Surfing The Nations raised to a new level when they decided to be a part of the Community Outreach Training Center. The first fundraiser that they held was employee – based; Whole Foods Kahala asked their employees if they would donate to this cause, and they raised over $450! The next fundraiser held was their “Community Support Day”, a program where they chose to give us 5% of the day’s sales on March 26. We were blown away by how much money was raised: $7161.12! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed by shopping at Whole Foods Kahala that day, and of course a big thank you to Whole Foods for making that happen!
Thank you, Whole Foods! Its a privilege to partner with you, and we greatly appreciate everything you do for us.
