Freedom Surf Contest is an annual surf contest in Queens, Waikiki, held mother’s day weekend. It is a two-day event, promoting “A Drug Free Hawaii”. In having this contest Surfing The Nations goal is to inform Hawaii residents that there is an alternative to drugs. The desire is to promote a positive image of the sport of surfing as a part of a healthy lifestyle and as a means of giving back to society.

An estimate of 140,000 people are present during the event over the weekend. During the contest there are heats every 15 minutes, live music, speakers, and booths with literature on the repercussion of drug alcohol use.

Surfers come together to promote the sport and push for a drug free Hawaii.

Surfing The Nations lives by the motto of "surfers giving back" teamed up with Jedidiah's motto "rooted in love" made for an exciting day of surfing and community in Waikiki April 2010.
