Sam is quite the man. He exemplifies selfless service on a day to day basis and is incredibly generous, especially with his time. It is a pleasure to work alongside him and we are so thankful to have him as part of our team. These are just a few of many things his co-workers have to say about his character and who he is.
Thank you, Sam, for the way you’ve encouraged our team and led by example to work without an agenda, but instead with love and a heart of service. The way you are willing to serve everyone around you, with a joyful attitude is inspiring and I feel very grateful to work with and for you! Thank you for your intentionality and belief that we can always do bigger and greater things. You definitely deserve the honor of being Staff of the Year. Thank you for all you do & who you are! ~Teka Gabaldon
Let me tell you about a person I know very well, someone that has impacted MY life by the way walks, and the way he talks, literally! Our paths crossed exactly two years ago when we both begun our journey in Internship with Surfing the Nations. At first, I admit, he looked a little bit intimidating but with a solid twinkle in his eye, you just knew that he was someone who you wanted to get to know more. Now, two years later, having graduated the Internship program, gone through the following Leadership program & been on staff with him at Surfing the Nations for a year I laugh at the thought of once having the impression of finding him intimidating. I’m talking about Samuel Snellman. His name literally means kind man, and it’s something that he naturally lives out every second of his day. He is someone you’d want on your team at any given time; he is strong, he is determined and most important of them all, he knows how to love others well no matter who they are or where they come from.If you don’t already know this guy I would continue to describe him as someone who knows how to fix a problem, it doesn’t matter what needs to be fixed,
